Set Of Promotional Badges For Credit Union
I was recently hired to do a set of 32 promotional badges for the State Employee division of Credit Union. The new designs are a part of the employee recognition program which aims to boost morale and reward Credit Union members for their hard work and achievements within the organisation. Color palette (crimson red, yellow, teal green and grey) was inspired by the colors of the state flag of New Mexico where the headquarter of State Employees CU is established.
Before we started doing anything digital, we set out to do an exploratory stage where initial thumbnail sketches would be laid out for each individual badge. A second or third initial concept was sketched out for some badges whenever it was necessary, just to make sure that each badge visualises the merit/achievement that it will be awarded for in the most creative and visually eloquent way.
The end result was a set of 32 strikingly colourful and unique badges that were a visual treat. All 32 designs were created to form a consistent and engaging visual language based on the visual identity of Credit Union. There is something magical about being able to design tangible stuff like badges and it’s a huge thrill to see your designs in real life. Here are my favourite designs:
